"People don't take trips, it's the trips that people take"

"A JOURNEY DOES NOT BEGIN WHEN YOU LEAVE NOR END WHEN YOU RETURN.
IN REALITY IT BEGINS MUCH BEFORE AND NEVER REALLY ENDS."

DIFFICULTY LEGEND
The legend refers to some sections of the route that require good driving skills, but which, if desired, can be overcome in complete safety on foot and continuing the route subsequently on horseback. Our legend "technical difficulty" and "technical preparation" refer to journeys with Gravel type bikes on roads/paths (they do not refer to physical effort, which varies based on your training conditions). The levels of technical difficulty refer to the classification C.A.I. (Club Alpino Italiano ).
(*) LEGEND TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY
TC (Tourist): route on dirt roads with a compact and smooth surface, suitable for carriages.
MC (Medium Technical Capacity): route on dirt roads with a slightly bumpy or slightly irregular surface (sheep tracks, cart tracks...) or on paths with a compact and smooth surface.

OC (Excellent Technical Ability): as above but on paths with very uneven and/or very irregular surfaces, with significant presence of obstacles.

We would therefore appreciate any reports of any issues encountered along the route (send them to info@abruzzogravel.com). Please note that some sections/itineraries are open to vehicular traffic and must be followed in compliance with the Highway Code and applicable local laws. The organizers decline any and all liability, civil or criminal, for any damage suffered or caused to people, animals, or property that may occur along the route. Furthermore, they assume no responsibility for any topographical variations in the proposed itineraries; participants follow them at their own risk. We've tried to avoid crossing private property on all routes, but this doesn't mean there may be situations beyond our knowledge that require permission from the respective owners. The travel times and difficulty levels of the various itineraries are based on average-level cyclists. They are always chosen with subjective criteria, and these data may vary significantly depending on weather and environmental conditions. We recommend checking the information on the website before departure, as it may vary along the route.
